Subcritical Systems, an Austin-based nuclear tech startup, seeks a senior Government Affairs leader to build and drive the company’s policy and regulatory engagement from the ground up. You will shape a coherent federal, state, and local strategy, manage relationships with Congress, DOE, NRC, and regulators, and translate policy insights into deployment plans.

Qualificações

• Experience building relationships with congressional offices and federal agencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication; drafting testimony and policy materials.
• Willingness to travel.
• U.S. citizenship required for export control compliance.
• Knowledge of federal legislative process and appropriations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development of federal, state, and local government relations strategy.
• Advocate with Congress, DOE, NRC to advance siting, licensing, and funding.
• Manage relationships with policymakers and regulators to align timelines with deployment.
• Coordinate with legal, regulatory, and site teams; brief executives on policy developments.
• Manage outside lobbyists and ensure compliance with Lobbying Disclosure Act.
