Job summary

Radiant is seeking a Director of Policy and Government Affairs to lead engagement with Congress and shape policy for deploying nuclear microreactors across U.S. government customers.

The role centers on influencing authorization and appropriations to fund, procure, and scale deployments at scale. Based in DC with 100% onsite requirements, you will work with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate technical priorities into legislative outcomes and secure funding aligned with national

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years in congressional policy, appropriations, or government affairs.
• Experience on Capitol Hill or with Congress.
• Strong understanding of authorization and appropriations processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop Radiant’s congressional affairs strategy aligned to government programs and deployment timelines.
• Build and maintain relationships with Members of Congress and staff across defense, energy, and homeland security portfolios.
• Identify opportunities to advance authorizing and appropriations language for nuclear deployment.
• Track and influence annual authorization and appropriations cycles, hearings, and proposals.
• Prepare briefing materials and strategic recommendations for company leadership.
• Shape external narrative around Radiant’s role in national security and resilient infrastructure.
