Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) seeks a School Educator I (NS) to provide itinerant early intervention to children birth to three qualifying for special education under IDEA Part C. The role serves homes, daycares, and schools, with up to 80% travel and remote work capabilities.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in Visual Impairment or related field and a valid Visually Impaired teaching license (or the ability to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Documented experience in public education teaching children birth to 2 and/or 3-21.
• Knowledge of federal/state special education policies (IDEA Part B/C).
• Familiar with web-based applications (MS Office, Google, Apple) and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide itinerant early intervention to children birth to three eligible for special education services under IDEA Part C.
• Serve children in home, daycare, and/or public school settings.
• Travel up to 80% and maintain reliable internet access for web-based platforms.
