Active Minds is seeking a Visual Brand Manager in Washington, DC with remote options. You will drive the brand voice across programs, fundraise, and events, delivering print and digital visuals that reflect our mission.

Lead visuals for blogs, emails, and social content while shaping branding guidelines and templates. You’ll collaborate with the MarComm team, manage design projects, and mentor staff or interns.

Qualifications

• Degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent) with portfolio.
• 4+ years in visual brand or graphic design.
• Experience in a management role.
• Strong typography and design concepts.
• Nonprofit marketing/communications knowledge.
• Proficient with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; Canva and similar tools.
• Experience with digital and print materials.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• CRM experience (Salesforce) a plus.
• Photo and video editing skills a plus.
• Figma experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive visual strategy across departments and deliver brand assets.
• Lead creation of graphics for online and print materials.
• Oversee integration of branding into programs, events, and partnerships.
• Provide visuals for blogs, emails, and social posts.
• Archive photos and videos for the organization.
• Assist with branding guidelines updates.
• Review materials to ensure branding guidelines are followed.
• Oversee video production and create simple videos.
• Coordinate fast-response graphics for website popups and proposals.
• Manage interns or contractors as opportunities arise.
