Job summary

Playrix launches a VFX internship program for early-career artists to gain hands-on experience in mobile game VFX, guided by a mentor and through staged workstreams. You will learn the full production flow and contribute to the visual experience of games played by millions.

The internship is paid and top performers may continue with Playrix. You’ll begin with stage 1 (4 weeks) and may advance to stage 2 (2 months) handling real production tasks in a team.

Qualifications

• Basic skills in VFX or animation.
• Portfolio showcasing your work.
• Understanding of composition, color, timing, and movement.
• Interest in game VFX for mobile games.
• Experience with game engines (Unity/Unreal/Godot) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn how VFX is created for mobile games and how to implement effects in the game engine with mentor support.
• Complete practical tasks such as creating an effect for a match-3 mechanic and a UI effect.
• Move into Stage 2 and contribute to real production tasks within a project team.
• Create effects for game features, UI elements, and player actions through the pipeline from idea to implementation.
