Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates seeks a Scientific Services Veterinarian (SSV) to support Royal Canin’s veterinary nutrition initiatives. The role requires extensive travel (50–75%) with overnight stays, and the ability to work from a home office when not traveling.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) with active license in at least one state.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a veterinary practitioner.
• Exceptional scientific communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Field Sales Teams to educate key recommenders and grow market share.
• Drive nutrition category growth by engaging specialty referral hospitals.
• Support strategic accounts through relationships with regional medical leadership.
• Develop KOL networks and support scientific communications initiatives.
• Deliver best-in-class training on Royal Canin nutrition to veterinarians and hospital staff.
• Represent Royal Canin at conferences and events to enhance brand presence.
