Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Senior Outreach Program Coordinator to support the Veteran Spouse Network (VSN) through social media, digital communications, and event promotion. You will work with VSN staff to transform program information and ideas into engaging content for military and veteran audiences.

You will independently manage day-to-day communications projects, coordinating calendars, newsletters, and events while maintaining brand consistency and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in field of work with at least 5 years responsible level experience in program administration or coordination.
• Relevant professional experience in communications, marketing, social media, or related field.
• Experience managing social media accounts for an organization, business, or brand.
• Strong writing and editing skills for social media, email, and digital communications.
• Experience creating branded graphics and marketing materials using design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to turn information into clear, audience-appropriate marketing content.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Values the contributions of others in the work environment.

Responsibilities

• Create visual content for VSN programs, events, campaigns, and outreach including social media graphics, flyers, presentations, infographics, posters, short videos, and other materials.
• Coordinate and manage VSN social media accounts: planning, writing, scheduling posts, publishing, and responding to comments.
• Maintain and produce VSN event calendars across social and partner platforms; promote events to raise awareness.
• Coordinate and manage VSN newsletters: gather updates, write/edit copy, schedule newsletters, coordinate review.
• Attend VSN events to capture photos and video content for social media and marketing.
• Identify content opportunities during events and help tell the story of VSN's programs and partnerships.
• Additional duties as assigned.
