Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Systems Management Analyst to administer and support OptumServe's VDI, including Horizon components, gateways, and RDSH farms. You will maintain availability, security, and performance across Development, Staging, Production, and DR environments.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting desktops and sessions, coordinating backups, and following ITSM and change-management processes, with a flexible remote work option across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Systems Administration & Engineering in an enterprise setting.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2022+ and Windows 11 desktops.
• Proven VDI administration experience (VMware Horizon, Connection Servers, RDSH).
• Experience with AD, MFA, and GPOs in enterprise identities.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes and change management.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise VDI infrastructure components (Horizon, Gateways, RDSH).
• Manage day-to-day operations across Development, Staging, Production, DR environments.
• Troubleshoot VDI, desktops, and session performance issues.
• Monitor health, availability, and capacity; raise risks when needed.
• Validate backups and support disaster recovery readiness.
• Execute changes per change management processes.
• Coordinate with monitoring, security, and operations teams.
• Maintain clear documentation and runbooks.
