Job summary

Kinetix seeks a Virtual CIO (vCIO) to lead client technology strategy for US-based, fully remote engagements. You’ll partner with executives, guide IT budgets, and shape roadmaps using ScalePad, with a focus on security, cloud, and modern device management.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in strategic technology advisory, strong business acumen, and proven ability to translate complex IT concepts into measurable business value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional information technology experience with broad knowledge of IT infrastructure and lifecycle management.
• Demonstrated client-facing experience presenting technology strategies to executives.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/macOS, servers, cloud, networking, and modern business tech.
• Experience evaluating environments, identifying improvements, and supporting initiatives.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary strategic technology advisor for assigned clients with executive stakeholders.
• Lead technology strategy meetings and technology business reviews with clear recommendations.
• Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps, IT budgets, and lifecycle plans.
• Evaluate client environments to identify risks and modernization opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to deliver vCIO services on time.
• Promote security-aware IT strategies in partnership with Cybersecurity Services.
• Maintain documentation of client IT systems and strategic recommendations.
• Monitor evolving client priorities to keep roadmaps actionable.
