Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Vascular Surgery Coder to work remotely full-time. You will code both IP and OP charts, extract data from clinical docs, and apply ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes in compliance with official guidelines.

You will review denials and support reporting and regulatory needs. Responsibilities include maintaining 95% coding accuracy, meeting 24-hour turnaround, coordinating with IQC staff, and staying current with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in medical coding.
• 3+ years Vascular Surgery Coding experience (IP and OP).
• CPC certification from AAPC; EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform quality surgical coding on General and Trauma surgery chart types as assigned.
• Maintains knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding principles and guidelines.
• Achieves and maintains 95% accuracy in coding while maintaining productivity.
• Works the review queue daily to ensure charts are coded and re-bills are processed as required.
