Job summary

Life Science Connect is hiring its first dedicated UX/UI designer. You’ll partner with product to craft experiences for readers and sponsors, turning briefs into wireframes and high-fidelity Figma designs across web, email and SaaS.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, editorial and commercial teams, refining the design system and ensuring accessibility, responsive layouts, and stakeholder alignment. This is a remote contract with potential for full-time in 2027.

Qualifications

5–7 years of professional UX/UI design experience.
Portfolio showing work in two of these areas: B2B SaaS/web apps, content/media websites, or email/newsletter design.

Responsibilities

Partner with product to brainstorm and shape new experiences, products and interfaces for readers and customers.
Turn PM requirements, briefs and rough prototypes into wireframes and high-fidelity Figma designs for desktop, tablet and mobile with all states.
Present options and iterate with the PM, usually two or three review rounds per page type.
Work within the existing design system (Figma plus Storybook in Chromatic): reuse built components and add new ones to the shared library.
Spec designs for developers: layout, spacing, typography, color, interactions, responsive rules, accessibility and analytics events.
Answer developer questions and review built pages against designs before release.
Use AI tools to move faster and help the team adopt them.
