Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an Intern Year Round - Technical Graduate to contribute to Enabling Capabilities for ModS. The role supports plan and conduct of user research, usability improvements, and prototype creation for web, desktop, and mobile applications.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in related graduate programs, hold a bachelor’s degree, and can work 30 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours in summer, with US citizenship for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Earned bachelor's degree.
• Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited graduate program.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work up to 30 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct user research to improve usability and efficiency of web, desktop, and mobile applications.
• Apply user centered design methodology to develop usable software products.
• Create wireframes and prototypes to communicate design ideas.
• Collaborate with user interface designers and developers to create high quality software products.
• Serve as an advocate for end users.
• Co-design and wireframe front-end user experiences.
