Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a User Research Intern for a 12-week summer 2027 program. You will collaborate with researchers, designers, and product managers to explore user needs across Coinbase Cloud and developer tools.

You will craft reports, tackle complex questions with suitable methodologies, and contribute to design decisions that improve the crypto user experience. This internship offers hands-on learning and direct impact.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a career in user research through a degree in a research-related field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of general research principles (experimental design, bias, confounds) and UX research principles (usability testing, design thinking).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate research findings clearly, supported by a final report from a past research project (school, bootcamp, or extracurricular) uploaded with your application.
• Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and Coinbase's role in the crypto economy, with interest in learning more.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own one or more research projects alongside researchers, designers, and product managers to investigate a product problem or area.
• Plan and execute research to solve complex, ambiguous product questions using appropriate methodologies.
• Deliver research reports that clearly communicate findings and provide actionable design and product recommendations.
• Partner with cross-functional teammates to translate user insights into thoughtful product experiences that help people engage with the crypto economy.
