Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a User Research Intern for a 12-week summer 2027 program. You will collaborate with researchers, designers, and product managers to explore user needs across Coinbase Cloud and developer tools.

You will craft reports, tackle complex questions with suitable methodologies, and contribute to design decisions that improve the crypto user experience. This internship offers hands-on learning and direct impact.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a career in user research through a degree in a research-related field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of general research principles (experimental design, bias, confounds) and UX research principles (usability testing, design thinking).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate research findings clearly, supported by a final report from a past research project (school, bootcamp, or extracurricular) uploaded with your application.
• Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and Coinbase's role in the crypto economy, with interest in learning more.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

This is a 12-week internship during summer 2027.

As a User Research Intern, you'll join our User Research team to help researchers, designers, and product managers understand user needs across products like Coinbase Cloud and developer tools. You'll tackle complex product problems, craft research reports that drive design and product decisions, and build foundational skills in UX research at scale.

Pay Transparency Notice:

Depending on your work location, the target hourly rate for this position can range as detailed below.

Hourly Rate:

$60 — $60 USD
