Job summary

Helsing is seeking a Senior Accountant to help build Helsing’s US accounting organization from first principles. You will partner with the Director of Finance to develop, execute, and maintain accounting workflows that yield timely, auditable, and accurate financial records, with high visibility to US leadership across the business.

Preference to Martinsburg, WV; Washington DC considered. You will lead the monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, audits, and ERP procure-to-pay

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Power Query).
• Solid understanding of US GAAP including cash management, lease accounting, fixed asset management and revenue recognition.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP) and procure-to-pay systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the US accounting function.
• Oversee inventory control and cost accounting for US manufacturing facilities.
• Prepare journal entries, review ledger postings for accuracy and completeness, and maintain the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
• Perform key aspects of the monthly close process including balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis.
• Support external audit and due diligence requests.
• Provide hands-on support for the implementations of financial and information management systems (ERP, procure-to-pay, T&E management).
