Job summary

HealthTap is seeking a remote MD/DO to conduct on-demand telehealth video visits across all 50 states. The role offers 100% remote work from home with 20-40+ hours per week and an estimated annual compensation of $100,000–$250,000, depending on hours worked.

All patient encounters are covered under a professional liability policy maintained and paid for by HealthTap. Immediate opportunities available with expedited onboarding for candidates who can start soon.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• At least four years of hands-on primary or urgent care experience in the U.S.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; proficiency with digital health tools.
• Patient-centered, punctual, collaborative professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care via secure telehealth video visits.
• Evaluate and treat common acute conditions (URIs, UTIs, sore throat, infections, refills).
• Assess eligibility for Chronic Care Management.
• Provide education, treatment plans, and follow-ups.
• Electronically prescribe non-controlled medications.
• Order labs and prescriptions when appropriate.
• Issue medical/work/school excuses when appropriate.
• Refer to local in-person care when needed.
• Document in telehealth EHR using SOAP templates; no DEA or controlled substances.
