Job summary

Grand Canyon Education seeks a University Admissions Counselor to oversee the California territory in a remote-work role (Phoenix-based) with frequent travel to CA. Starting salary is $58,656 per year with a tenure-based compensation plan.

You will engage high school students and families, coordinate campus visits, fairs, and presentations, and partner with community colleges to drive inquiries and enrollment while living in Phoenix.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; no delinquency on federal student loans per credit report.
• Strong time management and organizational skills for juggling multiple priorities while traveling.
• Clear communication and engaging presentation skills across in-person, phone, email, text, and Zoom.
• Self-motivation and drive to succeed with ownership of time and tasks.
• High emotional intelligence; ability to coach diverse students and families.

Responsibilities

• Host and implement event/activity plans to build awareness and drive inquiries in the territory.
• Connect with community colleges, faculty, and staff to engage stakeholders and generate leads.
• Coordinate fairs, school visits, campus visits, and presentations with a full travel schedule.
• Provide counseling to prospective students and families through the admissions process.
• Promote the university's mission and support campus enrollment from application through initial weeks on campus.
