Job summary

Revecore is seeking an Underpayment Analyst to join the Revenue Integrity team. You will review hospital claims to verify correct reimbursement and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and CMS guidelines.

The role includes a 90-day comprehensive training period led by instructors, with hands-on activities to accommodate diverse learners. A remote-work environment supports collaboration across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for underpayments and discrepancies.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial payer policies.
• Detail-oriented approach for audit and compliance documentation.
• Effective communication with internal teams, payers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify discrepancies between expected vs. actual reimbursement using internal tools.
• Investigate reasons for underpayments (coding, billing, payer policies).
• Contact insurers to obtain missing information and resolve underpayments.
• Prepare and submit correspondence and payment postings.
• Document root causes, trends, and lessons learned for process improvement.
• Participate in team discussions to optimize reimbursement processes.
• Uphold regulatory and ethical standards in all activities.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
