Job summary

Amplify Tutoring is hiring remote, part-time Virtual Tutors to provide small-group tutoring for K–8 students for the 2026-2027 school year. Tutors must reside in Maryland and be able to travel to Annapolis for fingerprinting.

Compensation includes $18 per hour for tutoring delivery and $15 per hour for lesson preparation, with W2 staffing and reimbursement of fingerprinting costs. Sessions occur on weekdays during the school day, with sessions lasting ~30 minutes.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent English speaker.
• Comfortable and highly skilled with technology.
• Available a minimum of 90 minutes a day, 3 days a week (M-F) during the school day.
• Have access to a personal laptop or computer with a webcam and microphone (Chromebooks, iPads/tablets, and smartphones cannot be used).
• Enjoys working with Kindergarten–Eighth Grade students.
• Interested in teaching lessons using Amplify curriculum.
• Willing to accept and implement ongoing coaching and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tutoring sessions using Amplify curriculum.
• Tutor sessions are 30 minutes with 30 minutes of prep time for each session.
• Participate in initial training and ongoing professional development.
• Collaborate with Amplify staff to meet student goals and district schedules.
