Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership in good standing required.
• 5+ years of litigation experience.
• Significant trial and/or arbitration experience.
• Experience delivering opening and closing arguments.
• Experience examining witnesses.
• Strong deposition and motion practice experience.
• Mediation and negotiation experience.
• Excellent advocacy, research, and legal writing skills.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage substantive litigation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage warranty litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case and trial strategy.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft and argue substantive motions.
• Prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Handle mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Prepare matters for arbitration and trial.
• Deliver opening statements and closing arguments.
• Conduct direct and cross-examinations of witnesses.
• Work directly with clients regarding case strategy, risk, and developments.
• Manage multiple active litigation matters and deadlines.
