Job summary

Federated Service Solutions is seeking an entry-level Telematics Technician who will travel nationwide to install and service telematics and fleet technology solutions. No prior telematics experience is required as the company provides structured training, mentorship, and certification opportunities to develop the required technical skills.

The role is remote-based with extensive travel across the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 100% throughout the United States.
• Ability to travel for extended periods including overnight stays.
• Comfortable spending significant time away from home while supporting customer projects.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow established processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and curiosity.
• Desire to learn new technologies and understand how vehicles, electronics, and technology systems work.

Responsibilities

• Complete company-provided telematics, fleet technology, and installation training programs.
• Install telematics, GPS, and fleet technology solutions in various vehicle types and fleet equipment.
• Learn proper wiring, routing, testing, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Assist experienced technicians on customer projects.
• Travel to customer locations throughout the United States.
• Follow installation standards, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Provide professional customer service while representing Federated Service Solutions.
• Build technical knowledge through ongoing training and certification programs.
• Advance through defined technician development milestones.
