Job summary

Deeplocal is seeking a Creative Technology Director to own end-to-end creative technology solutions for large-scale projects. The role blends oversight with hands-on software development and involves travel.

Ideally based in Pittsburgh, PA, but remote candidates who can travel to Pittsburgh may be considered. The position requires 7+ years experience, strong cross-disciplinary knowledge, and expert level skills in fullstack web development or TouchDesigner.

Qualifications

• Typical, but not required years of experience: 7+ yrs.
• Strong working understanding of technical considerations outside core Creative Technology (electrical/mechanical engineering, fabrication and procurement, architecture and construction, AV, third-party integration).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident presentation skills and comfortable being client facing.
• Expert level software development skills in fullstack web development or TouchDesigner, with knowledge of the other.

Responsibilities

• Owns the technical context, decisions, and architectural planning for integrated creative technology components.
• Make final decisions for creative tech and software development on projects, including vendor decisions.
• Serve as technical lead on large-scale projects and multi-exhibit builds.
• Collaborate with production and integration to develop timelines, schedules and budgets.
• Perform software development, testing and implementation, delegating to team members as needed.
• Mentor and lead small teams of developers and maintain resource plans.
