Job summary

QXO is actively seeking a Transportation Safety Leader to drive the safety program across a dedicated business unit. You will implement regulatory requirements, manage driver qualification, hours-of-service, and telematics programs while coaching field leaders on safety practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in transportation safety, fleet operations, risk reduction, or regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and transportation safety regulations.
• Experience implementing safety programs, policies, or technologies in field-based environments.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across levels.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support the enterprise Transportation Safety Program within an assigned business unit.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and other regulations.
• Administer driver qualification, hours-of-service, collision mitigation, and telematics programs.
• Monitor safety performance and identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness.
• Partner with EHS teams to implement new safety processes and initiatives.
• Deliver transportation safety training and promote safe driving behaviors.
• Track and analyze safety metrics using telematics, dashboards, and analytics tools.
