Job summary

State of Michigan's Transportation Department is seeking a Transportation Planner 9-12 to support Highway Performance Monitoring System reporting. The role involves compiling large road datasets, coordinating with officials, and implementing process changes for new regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, environmental studies/sciences, engineering, geography, or related field with relevant credits.
• One year of professional transportation planning experience for Planner 9/10; three years for Planner 12.
• Experience in GIS data manipulation and report generation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review transportation reports to meet federal and state requirements.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local officials on reporting processes.
• Utilize GIS to compile, validate, and classify road data for roadway reports.
