Job summary

DJ&A seeks full-time Transportation Design Engineers with 1-10 years of relevant experience. Must have an EIT certificate (minimum).

The candidate must be a problem solver, capable of effective communication, and possess analytical and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about civil engineering, with experience in road and highway design, trail design, and construction inspection.

Qualifications

• Minimum EIT certificate; B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in transportation design including AASHTO, MUTCD, NACTO, and State DOT manuals.
• Up to 1 year of construction field observation in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering transportation engineering designs for Local, State, and Federal agencies.
• Support construction administration and inspection tasks on site and in the office.
• Contribute to roadway design within various project scopes and sizes.
• Collaborate on multidisciplinary teams and assist design staff as needed.
• Perform CAD design including roadway geometry and corridor modeling.
• Help ensure QA/QC and code compliance; travel for project needs as required.
