Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Payer Contracting Manager for the Transplant Program to strategically manage payer and specialty network relationships, supporting transplant reimbursement, contract negotiation, and rate optimization. You will lead cross-functional collaboration to expand outreach, strengthen referral networks, and drive program growth.

This role can be performed remotely with travel as needed, and you will oversee all contract aspects, negotiate terms, and mentor Payer

• Experience leading and supporting complex negotiations.
• Experience presenting advanced topics clearly and professionally.
• Ability to synthesize large data into concise summaries.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience mentoring teams and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of assigned payer relationships including contract language negotiation and management, rate research and negotiation, dispute resolution, and relationship management.
• Maintains expertise on all contracts, including language, rates, methodologies, and contracted providers/facilities.
• Ensures contract processes comply with standard practices and regulatory requirements.
• Represents Payer Contracting in key relationships, including Joint Operating Committees.
• Establishes long-term relationships with aligned payers and coordinates with Finance and Revenue Cycle for risk-based contracting initiatives.
