Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks a Payer Contracting Manager for the Transplant Program to lead strategic payer relationships, specialty network contracting, and complex reimbursement negotiations that support transplant program growth and referral networks.

This remote role travels as needed and partners with Finance, Legal, and Operations to optimize contracts, ensure compliance, and drive program outcomes for Intermountain Health’s transplant initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex negotiations in a payer or contract management role.
• Ability to present advanced topics clearly in verbal and written form.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring staff.
• Demonstrated data synthesis skills for summaries without losing detail.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of assigned payer relationships and contract language.
• Maintains expertise on contract terms, rates, methodologies, and providers.
• Ensures contract language, negotiation, payment rates, and storage follow practices.
• Represents Payer Contracting in key relationships, including Joint Operating Committees.
• Establishes long-term relationships with payers and coordinates risk-based contracting with Finance.
• Collaborates with Legal and Compliance for regulatory and language accuracy.
• Leads and mentors Payer Contracting Managers.
