Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Transit Safety Security Specialist to lead project tasks for internal and external clients nationwide, applying risk-management processes from FTA and industry standards from APTA.

The ideal candidate will be organized, a self-starter, and able to guide multi-disciplinary teams with minimal oversight. Experience with PTASP, SSO and U.S. cybersecurity considerations is preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus 6 years of related experience or equivalent education.
• Includes PTASP, SSO, and cybersecurity experience in the U.S. context.
• Proven proficiency with multiple safety and security standards and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Development of PHAs/TVAs and mitigations.
• Workshops with multi-disciplinary groups/committees.
• CEL/CIL Development.
• Development of DCCCs/CSCCs.
• Direct interaction with agency clients and project managers.
• SSC document and report preparation.
• PTASP development, annual reviews, and updates.
• SSC training for internal and external clients.

Education

BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Public Transportation Safety Certification (PTSCTP)

Public Transportation Safety Certification (TSSP)

Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

FTA TSSP Bus/Rail Certification

CPTED Design Standards proficiency
