Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Transactional Associate Attorney in Commercial Real Estate to join a fully remote team in the United States. You will work with partners and senior attorneys on business and real estate transactions, drafting and negotiating agreements, and advising clients on governance, tax, and succession planning.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of real estate or transactional experience, a J.D. from an accredited law school, and active California State Bar admission.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the California State Bar.
• Strong drafting skills demonstrated in transactional contexts.
• Highly team-oriented with ability to collaborate across partners and senior attorneys.
• Experience in corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, real estate, lending or succession planning preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in commercial real estate transactions, acquisitions, financings, leasing and related negotiations.
• Draft and negotiate various commercial agreements and documents.
• Advise clients on corporate governance, tax planning and business succession.
• Form and advise on business entities and client opportunities.

Job Details

• 2-3 years in real estate or transactional real estate or corporate transactional (real estate experience is a plus)
• Forming and maintaining business entities and advising and strategizing with clients on potential opportunities
• Advising clients regarding corporate governance, tax, and business succession planning
• Representing clients in commercial acquisitions, financings, leasing, and commercial real estate transactions
• Drafting and negotiating various agreements

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school; a member in good standing of the California State Bar
• Strong drafting skills
