Tailscale is recruiting a full-time Program Manager to shape how Engineering, Product & Design operate, driving improvements in processes and operational health. The role is hands-on, collaborative, and requires comfort with ambiguity and asynchronous work in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Program Manager or Technical Program Manager coordinating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in a remote startup environment.
• Deep understanding of engineering space and how teams operate, and where friction tends to occur.
• Experience owning operational health processes (bug tracking, incidents, reliability, escalations).
• Strong data skills with dashboards/reports in Jira and Snowflake; ability to read and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Own the processes for bug tracking, incidents, reliability, and escalations and drive improvements.
• Spot trends in operational health data and translate into insights for action.
• Build dashboards and reports in Jira and Snowflake for visibility across EPD and the company.
• Turn data into a clear story and design/process changes to act on it.
• Support planning activities and project tracking across EPD.
• Run project status reviews and leadership roadmap/priority reviews.
• Connect gaps across systems, processes, and teams to reduce overlap.
