Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Tools Engineer for a part-time, remote role. You will build and maintain automations, bots, and AI assistants that remove routine work across the company, touching our project-management system, Slack, Telegram, and a growing set of AI-powered tools.

This generalist, fullstack-with-backend-bias position emphasizes autonomy, strong Node.js/TypeScript skills, and experience with Slack/Telegram bots, AI tooling, and integration of third-party APIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development including automation and bot development.
• Backend-focused fullstack with strong JS/TS and Node.js skills.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte).
• Experience with serverless platforms and databases (MongoDB/ClickHouse/PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on bot development for Slack/Telegram and API integrations.
• Familiar with OpenAI/LLM APIs and AI tooling.
• Able to work autonomously and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Own internal automation for our project-management system (TargetProcess), building rules and integrations.
• Design and ship bots for Slack and Telegram that carry out tasks, notifications, and data retrieval.
• Automate recurring operational processes—on-call announcements, absence notices, reminders.
• Build AI-powered assistants to help employees get fast, accurate answers.
• Document every solution to keep tools maintainable and extensible.
