National Jewish Health is seeking a compassionate Tobacco Cessation Health Coach to join our remote Tobacco Cessation Program. This fully remote role supports individuals quitting tobacco using evidence-based strategies that have helped millions nationwide.

The role focuses on assessment, counseling, and behavioral interventions delivered by phone or online, with flexible scheduling and a mission to improve public health through accessible, patient-centered coaching.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
• Work Experience: A minimum of two years as a health coach preferred.
• Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coaches participants via telephone and digital channels using motivational interviewing techniques.
• Assesses readiness to change, helps participants set goals and guides behavior change.
• Completes intake assessments and documents interactions in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Maintains rapport and encourages ongoing participation and engagement.
• Meets performance standards and participates in ongoing training.
