Coinbase is seeking a Senior Threat Intelligence Engineer to join the Threat Intelligence team within Security Operations. You will automate threat tracking, report to executives, and maintain our threat landscape across platforms.

You will serve as a subject matter expert on the latest cyber threats affecting Coinbase, crypto, and the broader financial sector. We value senior experience in threat intelligence, strong programming skills (Python/Go) and SQL, and a track record of delivering

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operational threat intelligence, incident response, security research, or cyber investigations.
• Proficient in Python or Go and SQL for data analysis, scripting, or tooling development.
• Proven ability to translate complex threat analysis into actionable briefs for technical and executive audiences.
• Track record of independently identifying high-priority threats and building solutions with minimal oversight.
• Skilled in conducting OSINT research across topics.

Responsibilities

• Automate tracking and analysis of sophisticated cyber threats targeting Coinbase's customers, employees, products and infrastructure.
• Influence decisions by reporting intelligence to stakeholders and executives.
• Model and curate the threat landscape within Vertex Synapse, improving analytic quality via peer review.
• Cultivate relationships within Threat Intelligence communities to expand information access.
• Manage high-volume intelligence requests with timely and accurate reporting.
• Serve as SME on current cyber threats facing Coinbase and the crypto/financial industry.
