Beacon Hill Staffing Group seeks a Threat Detection & Compliance Engineer to strengthen cybersecurity posture. You will develop detection capabilities, monitor security, hunt threats, and drive audit readiness across enterprise environments.

The role combines hands-on security engineering with governance, risk, and compliance activities to ensure controls are effective and compliant with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in threat detection, security engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on with SIEMs, detection rules, alerts, and monitoring processes.
• Strong auditing, risk management, and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Experience supporting audits and responding to auditor requests.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain threat detection and monitoring capabilities.
• Develop, tune, and optimize SIEM use cases, rules, alerts, and correlations.
• Conduct threat hunting, investigations, and event analysis to identify risks.
• Collaborate with SOC, IR, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to improve coverage.
• Support audits with evidence, documentation, and audit responses.
• Assess and align monitoring with regulatory requirements and standards.
• Develop dashboards and metrics to measure detection effectiveness.
• Automate monitoring and reporting via scripting and workflow improvements.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
