Job summary

GuidePoint Security LLC is seeking a Threat Actor Engagement & Intelligence Consultant to support the GRIT team remotely across the United States. You will lead threat actor communications, perform intelligence activities, and provide client-facing advisory services while collaborating with DFIR investigations.

The role emphasizes professionalism, threat actor behavior understanding, and the ability to work under pressure, with opportunities to work with AI tools and automated workflows.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in communicating with threat actors (e.g., ransomware negotiations or sock-puppet accounts).
• 2+ years of Threat Intelligence analysis or collection.
• Experience in intelligence sharing with private sector, ISACs, government or similar groups.
• Experience building persona operations and familiarity with dark web forums.

Responsibilities

• Lead Threat Actor Communications engagements advising clients, legal counsel, and insurers on risks and considerations.
• Act as a technical resource within the Practice and participate in DFIR investigations to share actionable intelligence.
• Maintain client relationships through proactive guidance and collaboration.
• Author engagement deliverables detailing findings, recommendations, and remediation strategies.
• Use automation and scripting to reduce manual processes and enable new capabilities.
• Support integration of open-source and commercial tools to improve GRIT processes.
• Continuously develop skills to stay at the forefront of information security.
• Support rotating on-call schedule, including possible weekend work.
