GuidePoint Security, LLC is seeking a Threat Actor Engagement and Intelligence Consultant within the GRIT team. The role focuses on threat actor communications for clients, gathering intelligence, and advising on actions aligned to business needs.

Collaboration with DFIR and ongoing intelligence research are core components. You will engage in threat actor operations, develop persona strategies, and support clients with actionable intelligence and remediation guidance, while leveraging

Qualifications

• 2–4 years prior experience in communicating with threat actors, such as via virtual persona operations or ransomware negotiations.
• 2+ years of experience performing Threat Intelligence analysis.
• Experience in intelligence sharing relationships within private/public sectors.
• Experience building persona operations and familiarity with dark web forums.
• Familiarity with digital forensics and incident response workflows and deliverables.
• Experience in client-facing, professional services, or consulting roles.
• Experience using emerging technologies, including AI tools, to drive better outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct Threat Actor Communications engagements for clients, advising on risks and communication with threat actors.
• Act as a technical resource within the GRIT Practice and participate in DFIR investigations.
• Maintain effective engagement communication, time management, and collaboration with peers and clients.
• Author comprehensive engagement deliverables detailing findings, recommendations, and remediation strategies.
• Utilize automation, orchestration, and scripting to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Contribute to integration of open-source and commercial tools to enhance GRIT processes.
• Pursue ongoing learning to stay at the forefront of the information security industry.
• Support a rotating on-call schedule as needed.
