Job summary

OpenEd in Indiana is seeking an Indiana-certified Theater Arts teacher for a part-time role that blends remote instruction with required in-person testing within Indiana. The position offers 25–27 hours per week, a starting wage of $25 per hour, and testing-related travel reimbursement.

As part of OpenEd's student-centered online program, you will mentor students, create engaging lessons, and collaborate with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current teaching certification in Indiana with Theater Arts endorsement.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Forms).

Responsibilities

• Review and grade student learning logs with timely feedback.
• Work synchronously with students in 1:1, small-group, or large-group settings.
• Mentor and tutor students enrolled in assigned courses.
• Create engaging lessons, activities, or learning opportunities.
• Tailor resources to meet individual student needs.
• Identify at-risk students and coordinate interventions.
• Communicate with parents to provide guidance.
• Attend IEP meetings as needed and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other teachers to share expertise.
• Complete grading and related instructional responsibilities.
• Administer ILEARN checkpoints virtually (3x/year).
