Job summary

AvonRisk LLC is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster II for a fully remote role based in Texas, with preference for Austin. You will independently manage indemnity claims from intake to resolution, applying knowledge of WC statutes and proactive medical management.

Role involves reserving, settlement, subrogation, and collaboration with clients across self-insured accounts. Requires Texas WC experience and appropriate licenses; comprehensive benefits package provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Texas Worker's Compensation claims adjusting experience with a Bachelor's degree, with demonstrated ability to independently manage indemnity claims through resolution.
• 5 years of Texas Worker's Compensation claims adjusting experience without a Bachelor's degree, with demonstrated ability to independently manage indemnity claims through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Perform three-point contact within 24 hours on all new losses; gather and analyze case facts, assess compensability, and maintain plans of action.
• Identify and refer fraud indicators to the SIU; ensure claims handled per statutes and guidelines.
• Direct medical care throughout the claim lifecycle including treatment authorization and UR/IME direction; aim for early return-to-work.
• Establish, monitor, and adjust case reserves within authority; prepare 90-day status reports.
• Direct defense counsel, set litigation strategy, manage budgets, and drive files toward efficient resolution.
