Job summary

Varsity Tutors is seeking Texas-certified teachers for its remote live-learning platform, enabling you to set your own schedule and work from home. You’ll leverage your classroom experience to connect with K-12 students in online 1-on-1 sessions and earn competitive rates.

As part of our platform, you’ll be matched with students, receive support from AI Tutor Copilot, and get paid twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Teaching Certificate required and TEA verification during application.
• Experience teaching in a Texas classroom setting with TEKS alignment.
• Ability to diagnose gaps and adapt pacing to student needs across grade levels.
• Clear, engaging communication style and effective teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• 1-on-1 online tutoring with individual students.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests as available.
• Match with students suited to teaching style.
• Employ AI Tutor Copilot features to enhance sessions.
