Qualifications

• Active Texas Teaching Certificate (TEA) required, with certificate number verification.
• Subject matter expertise in your certified subject area(s) and ability to connect K-12 concepts to student needs.
• Classroom teaching experience in a Texas setting with TEKS alignment.
• Ability to diagnose student gaps, adjust pacing, and explain concepts via multiple methods.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests when available.
• Tutor remotely using Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform; invoice for sessions and enjoy fast payments.
