Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company, is seeking a Texas-Certified teacher to deliver online, 1-on-1 tutoring across grade levels from home. You’ll apply TEKS standards, diagnose gaps, and adapt to student needs in a flexible, remote setup.

Earn up to $40/hour with a platform that pays bi-weekly and supports scheduling you choose. Tutor with the Live Learning Platform and Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions and save prep time.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Texas Teaching Certificate (TEA) and provide certificate number during application.
• Deep knowledge of your certified subject area and ability to connect K-12 concepts to student needs across grade levels.
• Experience in a Texas classroom and strong understanding of TEKS standards.
• Skilled at diagnosing gaps, adjusting pacing, and explaining concepts via multiple methods.
• Strong communication and engaging teaching style.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests as they arise.
• Deliver engaging instruction using Varsity Tutors’ Live Learning Platform.
• Adjust pacing and methods to meet each student’s learning needs.
