Varsity Tutors seeks a Texas-certified teacher to join our Live Learning Platform as a remote tutor, serving K-12 students nationwide. Bring classroom expertise to flexible, online sessions from home, aligning instruction with TEKS standards and student needs.

Set your own schedule and tutor as much as you’d like, earning competitive rates—up to $40/hour. Payments are issued twice per week, with the Tutor Copilot assisting lesson planning and engagement.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Teaching Certificate required and TEA verification.
• Deep knowledge in certified subject area(s) with ability to connect K-12 concepts to student needs.
• Classroom teaching experience in a Texas setting with TEKS alignment.
• Skilled at diagnosing gaps, adjusting pace, and explaining concepts in multiple ways.
• Ability to identify common student challenges and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Strong communication and engaging teaching style.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests as your schedule allows.
• Leverage the Tutor Copilot and platform tools to enhance sessions.
