Job summary

Varsity Tutors is seeking Texas-certified teachers to join its live learning platform as remote tutors. You’ll leverage classroom experience to deliver one-on-one instruction to K-12 students across the US, with flexible scheduling and competitive pay up to $40/hour.

Active TEA certification, subject-matter expertise, and TEKS knowledge are required. You’ll diagnose student needs, adapt instruction, and communicate clearly to promote lasting understanding while invoices are processed promptly.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Teaching Certificate issued by the Texas Education Agency.
• Deep knowledge in your certified subject area(s) and the ability to connect K-12 curriculum concepts to student needs.
• Experience in a Texas classroom with TEKS standards and how to apply them in one-on-one instruction.
• Diagnose student gaps, adjust pacing and approach, and explain concepts through multiple methods.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly teaching style.
• Ability to connect TEKS standards to individual learning needs.
