Job summary

Varsity Tutors is seeking a Texas-certified teacher to join our Live Learning Platform as a remote tutor. You can set your own schedule, teach K-12 students online, and earn competitive rates up to $40 per hour.

You’ll invoice for sessions and receive payments on a biweekly basis, working from home with no commuting. Ideal candidates hold an active Texas teaching certificate and have classroom experience aligned with TEKS standards.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Teaching Certificate from TEA; verification during apply.
• Deep subject-matter expertise linked to K-12 TEKS standards.
• Experience teaching in Texas classrooms; TEKS alignment.
• Diagnose gaps, adapt pacing and approaches for each student.
• Ability to explain concepts with multiple methods.
• Strong communication and engaging teaching style.

Responsibilities

• 1-on-1 Online Tutoring: provide personalized instruction to individual students.
• Instant Tutoring: accept on-demand tutoring requests when available.
• Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform; no commuting.
