Job summary

The Zebra is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality strategy and test automation across key product areas. You will own test infrastructure, mentor teammates, and embed quality practices throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Based in Austin with remote options, this role offers collaboration with cross-functional teams, exposure to modern automation tools, and a chance to impact how customers compare and buy insurance online.

Qualifications

5+ years of quality engineering experience with test automation.
Expert proficiency with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript.

Responsibilities

Design and own automated test frameworks across functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Lead test strategy and planning for major product releases with Engineering and Product.
Mentor junior quality engineers and elevate quality practices across the team.
Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve coverage and reliability.
Track quality metrics, surface trends, drive defect-prevention improvements.
Contribute to quality engineering standards and tooling decisions.
