Job summary

NWN is seeking a Telecommunications Compliance Manager to lead the company’s telecom regulatory program across multiple entities. You will file FCC and CPUC reports, manage vendors, and ensure accurate tax treatment for telecom offerings.

The role requires 5–7 years of regulatory experience, strong cross-functional collaboration, and proficiency with NetSuite and SureTax. Fully remote with East Coast hours alignment is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience managing a telecommunications regulatory compliance and filing program.
• Working knowledge of state and federal telecommunications laws and regulations.
• Experience with FCC filings (499-A/499-Q, 477) and CPUC filings.
• Understanding USF and telecom surcharge/fee remittance obligations.
• Experience managing third-party compliance vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the telecommunications regulatory compliance and filing regime for multiple entities that resell VoIP and regulated services.
• Prepare, file, and maintain federal and state telecommunications filings (FCC forms, USF contributions, CPUC filings).
• Coordinate third-party telecom compliance vendors to ensure accurate, timely filings and remittances.
• Map new SKUs/products for correct telecom tax treatment in the SureTax engine.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Order Management, Finance, Legal, and Offerings teams on regulatory and tax compliance.
• Advise on regulatory and tax implications of new products and go-to-market changes before launch.
• Oversee audits/examinations by regulators and coordinate responses.
• Monitor changes in telecom laws/regulations and update internal processes.
• Maintain filing calendars and an audit trail for management reporting.
