Job summary

Telecon in Salt Lake City is seeking a Permit Coordinator in its turnkey engineering department. This intermediate role independently manages the full permit lifecycle for telecom projects including pole attachment, city and county, DOT, ROW and environmental permits.

The role works with minimal supervision, guides team members, coordinates with permitting authorities to expedite approvals, and tracks progress using QB or P2.

Qualifications

• 12 months of permit coordinator or telecom permitting experience.
• Experience submitting permit applications to multiple authority types.
• Knowledge of telecom permitting regulations and jurisdictional requirements.
• Ability to prioritize multiple permits and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and coordination with permitting authorities.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage permit applications across multiple authority types for several projects.
• Serve as main contact with permitting authorities, manage status and expediting approvals.
• Guide Permit Coordinator team members to support their development.
• Review permit packages for completeness and compliance.
• Coordinate with design and construction to align permit scope with deliverables.
• Track permit status across projects using QB, P2, flag risks to PM.
• Identify jurisdictional issues affecting timelines.
• Help develop permit templates, checklists, and process docs.
• Participate in team meetings on permitting strategies and workload planning.
