Job summary

Universal Network Development Corporation is seeking a Telecom Outside Plant (OSP) Engineer II to support Verizon projects. You will develop constructible OSP designs for fiber and copper, ensuring Verizon engineering standards and project requirements are met.

The ideal candidate can evaluate field conditions, existing facilities, and customer needs to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions with strong attention to detail and the ability to work remotely in a production-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of telecom OSP engineering or related experience.
• Knowledge of aerial, underground, and buried telecom facilities.
• Experience designing fiber and/or copper networks.
• Ability to read field notes, maps and drawings.
• Familiarity with Verizon OSP standards and projects preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform OSP engineering and design for Verizon projects.
• Develop designs for aerial, underground, and buried facilities.
• Engineer placement, relocation, repair of OSP facilities.
• Review field data and utility records to create designs.
• Prepare work orders and construction drawings for production.
• Coordinate with project teams and clients to resolve issues.
• Track progress and maintain project documentation.
