Job summary

Mythics is seeking a highly organized Technical Writer to support defense consulting programs. You will develop, edit, and maintain technical, operational, and program documentation that supports cybersecurity, RMF, FedRAMP, and cloud modernization initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in technical writing for IT and government projects, with experience in NIST, RMF, and related frameworks. This role offers remote or hybrid options and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

3+ years of technical writing experience supporting IT, software, cloud, or cybersecurity projects.
Experience supporting federal, DoD, or state/local government programs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio).
Experience with SharePoint, Confluence, Adobe Acrobat, or similar collaboration/document management platforms.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Responsibilities

Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation for IT consulting engagements.
Create system documentation, SOPs, user guides, administrator guides, and training materials.
Translate complex technical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, cybersecurity professionals, and government customers to gather technical information.
Maintain project documentation including SDDs, architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and release notes.
Support knowledge management by organizing reusable documentation assets.
Coordinate document reviews and approvals with internal stakeholders and government customers.
