Job summary

Garratt-Callahan is seeking a Technical Sales Territory Manager to cover San Diego and Inland Empire, California. You will sell boiler and cooling tower water treatment chemicals with unlimited commission potential.

Work from home within the territory, maintaining existing accounts and cold-calling to develop new business. A technical sales background and knowledge of water treatment are essential. Military or mechanical experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years technical sales related to water treatment chemicals is required.
• Selling to a variety of industrial customers is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Southern California industrial marketplace is preferred.
• A four-year technical degree is preferred; military equivalents (e.g., Navy Nuclear Propulsion) are also great.

Responsibilities

• Sell boiler and cooling tower chemicals to a variety of industrial customers and maintain the existing customer base.
• Develop new business through cold calls within the territory.
• Run chemical tests to analyze water and document results.
• Interact with and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, tubing, piping and valves; program cooling tower chemical controllers.
• This role includes driving within the territory and occasional overnights.
